Affluent Blacks of Dallas

Reparations Season 2023: This 4th of July, Let’s Evolve Our Community

So from now on, don’t let the 4th of July go by because this land was founded by genocidal thieves. Let it be a reminder to get back what was stolen from us. We should be more affluent than we are if we get restored to us what is owed. It is not impossible. Don’t let others deter us.

Shouldn’t Juneteenth Be About More Than Slavery?

The most damaging outcome of the segregation laws was that the fake good cops in government started pushing for desegregation laws. Some of our ancestors knew this was a trap so they resisted desegregation as we were doing fine as a nation state within a racist nation. Why get too close to the enemy? But the naïve ones among our people gave in to the socialist strategy and fought for desegregation.

The result? Instead of being an independent thinking state within a state, forging our own political and economic destiny, we all loaded up the moving truck and went from the Republican party to the Democratic party. How has that turned out? We don’t even keep score. Our median incomes and net worth, which was already struggling in the 1930s through 1960s, stayed flat, not far from zero, till this day. That’s a dam shame.

New Year, New Career. Stop Picking Low Paying Jobs My People

…too many of us end up in dead end jobs because no one teaches us how important it is at 18 to 24 years old to pick the right high paying majors. When we graduate high school, many of us know that getting a college degree or trade school training can be good, but some of us don’t end up doing either of these. That’s how a lot of us end up in minimum wage jobs, struggling to pay bills, can’t afford for to raise a healthy family, often on the brink of eviction.

Helping Our Young People Survive the Lost Years

The reason our community is in last place among the 4 main American groups is in part because too many of us kick our young people out the house at 18 without a career plan or vision. As I’ve said in previous videos, our young people struggle severely during the lost years from 18 to 24 years old.

What Our Community Urgently Needs Before 2023 – YOU Can Do Better Pt 21

The biggest challenge to our community is to make the most of that critical time gap between when we leave high school, around 18 years old, and then when we choose a career, which is around 24 years of age. Too many of us don’t take this important period of time seriously, which is why we have some of the lowest median incomes and net worth of all groups. If we each improve how we plan our careers after high school, we will make a tremendous impact on our incomes, net worth, and how the powerful people who run this world system pays attention to our voices as a result. Pay attention…
