So You Really Think Black Americans Got Reparations?

Brothas and sistas, it is quite baffling that there are a lot of people who still believe we got reparations

Educated Sistas…Stop Seeking Validation from these Money Loving Corporations

Yet again, I read in Wall Street Journal and Forbes magazine about educated sistas complaining about diversity and inclusion in the workplace lol…oh boy… I did a video about this topic earlier this year, where other sistas were front and center in the biggest business magazines in the world, whining about not having a safe space to succeed in the workplace…oh my…really people lol? I even read where one PhD sista complained that because she has a PhD in social studies or something like that, that she should be making the same money as a white guy with a PhD in STEM. Are you kidding me? Stop that lol.

Workplace Racism-Ready to Quit and Start a Business? WAIT! Talk 2 Me First

Her child was like, under 5 yrs old or something like that. Her friends and family encouraged her to save up some money, quit, and start her own business. She hesitated for some time, but after something at work was the last straw, she took that leap of faith and started her own business. I think it was either beauty or fashion related, I forget. And some of you know how I feel about those passion fields lol. But she seemed smart as she was telling me her story.

She used most of her savings, which included part of her rent. And I think you know the rest. She and her child were homeless. Where were those friends and family who encouraged her to take that senseless risk? She was in tears thinking about the fact that her child had no roof over her head or food to eat.

Could Madame CJ Walker Have Become a Billionaire?

After becoming successful, she adopted social activism into her business model. That’s fine, but I think she should have sold her supply chain operation as a service so that she could then sell her hair and beauty business to someone else. She could then charge them for supply chain management. Next, she could’ve serviced black clothing manufacturers, food companies/farmers, oil companies, insurance products, funeral home supplies, and other types of black owned businesses.

Reparations Season 2023: This 4th of July, Let’s Evolve Our Community

So from now on, don’t let the 4th of July go by because this land was founded by genocidal thieves. Let it be a reminder to get back what was stolen from us. We should be more affluent than we are if we get restored to us what is owed. It is not impossible. Don’t let others deter us.

Shouldn’t Juneteenth Be About More Than Slavery?

The most damaging outcome of the segregation laws was that the fake good cops in government started pushing for desegregation laws. Some of our ancestors knew this was a trap so they resisted desegregation as we were doing fine as a nation state within a racist nation. Why get too close to the enemy? But the naïve ones among our people gave in to the socialist strategy and fought for desegregation.

The result? Instead of being an independent thinking state within a state, forging our own political and economic destiny, we all loaded up the moving truck and went from the Republican party to the Democratic party. How has that turned out? We don’t even keep score. Our median incomes and net worth, which was already struggling in the 1930s through 1960s, stayed flat, not far from zero, till this day. That’s a dam shame.

Revisiting 1968’s Classic Ossie Davis Documentary ‘Inside the Negr0 Middle Class’

In another scene, another very interesting discussion about black women’s hair came up. Surprisingly, or probably not, there was a disagreement about embracing black women going natural. Pro-black sistas were all about that natural hairstyle, but sistas who owned black hair care related businesses, especially the ones that offered blond hairstyles and wigs at the time, vehemently opposed it because it would cost them revenue. I know, very interesting, right?
