Brothas and sistas, it is quite baffling that there are a lot of people who still believe we got reparations
Yet again, I read in Wall Street Journal and Forbes magazine about educated sistas complaining about diversity and inclusion in the workplace lol…oh boy… I did a video about this topic earlier this year, where other sistas were front and center in the biggest business magazines in the world, whining about not having a safe space to succeed in the workplace…oh my…really people lol? I even read where one PhD sista complained that because she has a PhD in social studies or something like that, that she should be making the same money as a white guy with a PhD in STEM. Her child was like, under 5 yrs old or something like that. Her friends and family encouraged her to save up some money, quit, and start her own business. She hesitated for some time, but after something at work was the last straw, she took that leap of faith and started her own business. I think it was either beauty or fashion related, I forget. How has that turned out? We don’t even keep score. Our median incomes and net worth, which was already struggling in the 1930s through 1960s, stayed flat, not far from zero, till this day. That’s a dam shame.

The biggest challenge to our community is to make the most of that critical time gap between when we leave high school, around 18 years old, and then when we choose a career, which is around 24 years of age. Too many of us don’t take this important period of time seriously, which is why we have some of the lowest median incomes and net worth of all groups. If we each improve how we plan our careers after high school, we will make a tremendous impact on our incomes, net worth, and how the powerful people who run this world system pays attention to our voices as a result.
