Celebrating America’s 250th Year – A Semiquincentennial Weekend Across the Metroplex
Hey beautiful people all across the land of Dallast-Ft. Worth! You already know what time it is. The biggest holiday of the summer has arrived: 4th of July! And this year is extra special. The nation celebrating 250 years since America’s birth, a milestone that reminds us how far we’ve come and how much our chocolate communities continue to shape the nation’s story.
This holiday is a moment to honor our chocolate forefathers who fought for independence and built foundations of Black American excellence in the face of intense institutional and overt racism. From early free communities to the rise of Black Wall Streets across the country after the Civil War, our people created thriving, self‑sustaining ecosystems, and that legacy still beats strong in Dallas–Ft. Worth.
