Historic Black Jockeys Honored by Woodford Reserve Charity Program

Pursuitist Headlines wrote up a nice article about how winemaker Woodford Reserve is honoring African American horse jockeys with their $1,000 Mint Julep™ charity program. Many of us today forget that brothas in the late 1800s were as dominant in the horse jockey sport as brothas are today in major pro sports. Then, Jim Crow racism came later (isn’t that interesting) and pushed us out of the top horse races like the Kentucky Derby. This shows you that racism is manufactured, not natural.
