U.S. Ambassador and former Dallas Mayor Ron Kirk hopped on-board the high-speed rail bandwagon Monday.Kirk, the former U.S. trade representative, joined Texas Central Railway as a senior adviser for the project that aims to connect Dallas to Houston via bullet trains.”I have seen just about all of the high-speed rail systems throughout Europe and Asia and the competitive part of me feels that if the rest of the world can do this, why can’t we right here in the United States?” Kirk asked in a blog posted to the Texas Central Railway website.
