It’s never really too early to beat the crowds and begin shopping for the holidays. And why not start this weekend? The Craft Guild of Dallas is hosting its 2014 Fall Show and Sale this Thursday through Sunday. The show will feature handcrafted works of jewelry, glass, pottery, sculpture, hand-bound books, painting, drawings, photography, fiber art and more.
The event is indoors and admission is free, so there’s no reason not to at least check it out.
The Craft Guild is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1948 as essentially a way to provide studio space for Dallas artists. What it ended up being was that, as well as a place that provides instruction to artists and craftsmen. Along with that, the organization also offers exhibits and competitive shows to interest the community in its arts.
