4th of July Weekend Parties Across Dallas-Ft. Worth Today! (Updated July 5)

 

Whew! There are so many things going on ’round here that I had to pause and ponder these things as my head was spinnin’ and my fingers crampin’ from all the typing. I think DFW just set a record for the number of concerts and events for a major holiday weekend.

With that said, let’s get down to bidness…

Thursday, July 2

It all goes down starting Thursday, July 2. Dwele is back in Dallas after a couple of years and he’s at the ever-cool and swank Sisu Lounge with its sexy pool side vibe and sophisticated atmosphere. Check our event page for the link to get your tickets asap.

And speaking of sophisticated, Floetry is back together at the popular Medusa Lounge on July 2nd as well, though their set is a bit later than Dwele, so you can theoretically do both.

Houston rap master Slim Thug wants to help set off the 4th here in Dallas at nationally ranked LeVu (2505 Pacific Avenue). Chateuax/Men of Business. Call ahead.

Shark Bar here in my backyard in Plano is having a Red White and Blue Affair from 5pm to 2am.

Absinthe Lounge (formerly Brooklyns) has its Pre 4th of July Gala. DJ K-Mike and DJ CLove in the mix. Spice of Lyfe and Distinctiv Models in the building.

Friday, July 3rd

Men of Business are back again on the eve of the 4th with The Preamble at Medusa. DJ Q and DJ Phife on the ones and twos. View the flyer on our events page for the RSVP info (ladies free till 11 with RSVP, no word on guys).

DFW Social 40 wants the grown and professional ones to mix and mingle at the Ultimate First Friday Happy Hour at Sisu Lounge. Are you on the list? Hurry up!

Winstons is having a Fireworks Kickoff event. DJ Shutdown and DJ Asap on the wheels of steel (well, they’re in the mix).

 

Pho House in Far North Dallas (Dallas Tollway and Frankford) is having their Pre-4th Holiday Kickoff Friday Happy Hour. Free till 8pm. Big Daddie The Dj & DJ EARTH QUAKE in the mix.

If you like a little spoken word mixed in with the DJ’s mixes, then Heroes Lounge is the place to be for their Independence Day Poetry Slam. Free before 8pm. $5 thereafter.

Gators – Downtown is hosting a Old School Red & Blue 1st Friday affair for grown folks only. Are you ready yet?

If you’re business minded this holiday weekend, then there’s a nice business social mixer going on at 4th Quarter Bar and Grill on South Westmorland Ave in Dallas. “BizNation Radio Show provides inspiration and entertainment to our listeners, while promoting business growth, career advancement and personal success.”

Various fireworks going on around DFW, including Fair Park and the nationally ranked Kaboom Town in Addison from 5pm till midnight. It’s usually good to get a ride into Addison as parking and traffic can be a beast!

 

Saturday, July 4th

It all goes down Saturday! Monroe’s is having their 4th of July party with a dose of multi-talented Porsha Hall celebrating her birthday. There will be a special guest DJ. Check the flyer for RSVP info.

 

Frisco is having their Freedom Fest fireworks extravaganza that actually rivals Addison’s Kaboom Town. I usually go to both, and sometimes, Frisco’s has even more fireworks than Addison.

The Men of Business are at it again with their Declaration of a Party event at Syx Nightclub. DJ Q and DJ Phife will be mixin’ it up.

Shark Bar of Plano has their second 4th of July event, called the Pure White Affair. DJ Freeze on the ones and twos. Vida Loca from 97.9 hosting a live broadcast.

Empire Lounge in Ft. Worth is doing their grand opening on the 4th of July! The west side of the DFW area will never be the same again.

Gators – Downtown is also back again with their Casual White Luau on the Rooftop affair. Get a free Hawaiian lei at the door. 1714 N. Market Street.

 

Blue Martini in Plano is having their 4th of July on Legacy event with live music. Half off drinks all night long.

Sasha’s Dallas is having a Backyard BBQ Day Social starting at 4pm. DJ Xanax on the ones and twos.

If ya want comedy, Robert Powell from the Shaq All Star Tour is at the Arlington Improv (nice venue) in the Arlington Highlands. He’s there from July 2nd till the 5th. His flyer has a special promo code, so check it out.

Sunday and Monday

And finally, Wale is performing live at Monroe Lounge. DJ Duffey and DJ Q will be in the mix.

Mr Pookie and Mr Lucci are having their 4th of July reunion concert at Club Vinty at 2810 Elm Street. That same night, Tyrese will be at Winstons. KJ from 105.7 FM and Priya from 104.5 FM will be there.

 

Azure in Addison is having their special edition Red White and Azure Sunday Block Party. It starts at 2pm till Midnight. Presented by Men of Business (these guys stay busy). DJ LIL BRO,  CORE DJ FLIP, and Grammy Award Winning DJ EARTHQUAKE in rotation.
