JP Morgan Chase & Co. has launched a round of layoffs expected to total more than 5,000 nationwide by next year, although it was not immediately clear how many of those cuts will be in North Texas.
JP Morgan Chase (NYSE: JPM) has 258 branches in North Texas, more than any other bank in the region, according to Dallas Business Journal research. The bank employs more than 12,000 in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
