Dallas developer Diane Cheatham built herself a pretty striking modern home in the early days of Urban Reserve, a single-street development of architect-designed, eco-friendly homes in the northeast portion of the city. Later, she built herself another dwelling in that same development, and decided to sell the one she commissioned from architect Vince Synder. It’s called the Chris Craft House, after a boat company, presumably because the interlocking wooden beams under the home’s long vaulted ceiling gives one the feeling of being in a ship’s hull.
