We all witnessed the outcome of the 2024 elections. Despite VP Harris doing the best she could with a very short campaign season, it was the most brutal, one-sided landslide in over 100 years. Before I continue, let me remind the reader I’m a lifelong independent. I have always refused to allow the two-party monopoly to dictate how I think or vote. They are two wings of the same vulture.
Having said that, we have to analyze what went so terribly wrong? There were two major problems with how the democratic party unsuccessfully ran their campaign, and how many of us allowed it to once again derail and divide our community:
1. They lacked self-awareness in their campaign strategy to the point they ignored the big issues affecting American households and hyper focused on restoring Roe v Wade and trashing the big bad “Orange man.” Somehow they assume that Americans think “I might not be able to afford grocery, rent, car, insurance or property taxes, I might not have a job, but I need Roe v Wade restored over everything.”
2. They unleashed many of our “sistas” against Black American brothas in a bizarre attempt to shame and bully us into submitting to their leadership. That’s not how real men work.

Regarding that 2nd point, the anti-male rhetoric against brothas got so nasty that even some liberal sistas had to push back against the vitriol. I have never seen the democratic strategy get so out of order in my life. That’s when I knew the blue party permanently lost a growing number of brothas ,and a lot of sistas.
No other group has had its women try to trash and shame its men, strong men, into submitting to them. Of course, not every sista participated in this very public misandry. Yet how did we allow our community to get to this desolate point? Our ancestors, especially those active in the suffrage movement, never foresaw such a thing. This gender-oriented divide in our community is counterproductive.
So it is time for some deep, deep soul searching, which begins with brothas reintroducing ourselves to our sistas.

Will the Democrats radically change their approach to better compete for our vote in the future? It seems unlikely, given Harris’ concession speech:
“While I concede this election, I do not concede the fight that fueled this campaign,” she said. “The fight for freedom, for opportunity, for fairness, and the dignity of all people. A fight for the ideals at the heart of our nation, the ideals that reflect America at our best.”
As admired as she is by so many, if you set aside the post-election blues, this statement is still tone deaf. What fight are we continuing if it failed catastrophically? Obama’s statement conceding the victory was one Harris should have used. This defiance is an indicator that, if given another shot at the presidency, she will do exactly the same thing. And I’m afraid this is why the democrats will be handcuffed to defeat for many years to come.

I just read a Daily Mail article from Saturday, November 9, where a New York campaign staffer for VP Harris exposed how, despite the enormous amount of campaign money raised, Team Harris was so confident they would win that they didn’t bother spending money to spruce up the abandoned looking office. The staffer was told not to talk to anyone but Democrats in her district. No Republicans, no Independents, no other party. She said the staff celebrated every day as if they had already won the election. This hubris was badly misplaced as we now know.
Getting back to brothas, sistas who aligned to the far left wing of the party need to re-acquaint themselves with men.

First, we don’t prioritize Roe v Wade over everything. We care about putting food on the table for our families. The Democrats wanted brothas to blindly support this cause without offering any specific tangibles for us. Her Black man’s business loan promise actually turned out to be for every minority when you read the fine print. Men are not dumb.
We care about a strong economy so we that can start and manage successful businesses in order to take care of our families.
We care about learning skilled trades and STEM majors so that we can establish ourselves early in life in order to build strong, successful families.
We care about a strong, vibrant economy with low or no inflation and secure borders so that we can protect our families.
Notice a repeating theme? Despite what a lot of our people, especially some sistas, think about us, we care about our families just like men from other groups. We are not to be taken for granted or belittled as if we’re little boys who need guidance (Steve Harvey, Magic Johnson, Obama and other extreme leftists need to recognize this growing microtrend). The way the democratic party has patronized us brothas reminds me of when the Klan soldiers from 100 years ago called us “boys.” This travesty has to stop.

As a result of all this anti-brotha rhetoric, brothas started leaving the blue party, and this exodus will grow based on the stubbornness of the blue party. A few years ago, the media took notice and sounded the alarm about the trickle of brothas away from the misandrist party. But instead of catering to us, they foolishly trashed us with childish, passive aggressive name calling. Now ask yourselves, when has name calling, whining and shaming ever been successful with mature gentlemen?
We’ve got to stop letting the colonizer strategy divide us by gender. All of us in the community have one thing in common: we need to stop being last place in median incomes and net worth. To me, that should be the ONLY policy we pursue. Subsections of our community will always have one-off issues, but none of those should divide us like we’ve seen this year and in this campaign.

Instead, we need to focus on reversing over 100 years of Jim Crow asset theft and terrorism that robbed us of our generational wealth. Nothing else should matter until we remove that major financial cancer.
Hope no one took offense. That is not my intent. What we can no longer tolerate is allowing outsiders to divide us so badly to the point our women don’t know or understand their men. 2024 has been embarrassing on that front and we can’t have this any longer. We didn’t create either party, so we shouldn’t let them destroy us.
We’ve got work to do in 2025 to upgrade Black America from the downtrodden 1.0, with its emphasis on embracing empty promises in exchange for identity politics, to a new and improved version 2.0, where quid pro quo is expected. We can do this if we truly come together and believe. Imagine the possibilities. Let’s get to work!
