Fort Worth Stockyards makes list of nation's most-endangered historic places - Dallas Business Journal

The nation’s top preservation organization has placed the Fort Worth Stockyards on its list of the nation’s most endangered historic places.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported that the National Trust for Historic Preservation made the move because the Stockyards is “one of the most distinctive historic sites in Texas” and is threatened by a planned $175 million development project that has been proposed by a joint venture of California-based Majestic Realty and the Hickman family of Fort Worth.
